Take action today to support students experiencing homelessness. CCH is advocating for $5M to be designated in the Illinois State Board of Education’s budget allowing districts to support students with basic necessities. Help move this forward: bit.ly/HomelessEdu

🚨 Due to extreme cold, all classes are cancelled for Friday, January 23, 2026. bit.ly/3LqUyXW After carefully monitoring the forecast, it has been determined that the predicted frigid temperatures, combined with wind chills that could reach -35 degrees, will be unsafe for students and staff and for travel to and from school. All after-school programming, including athletic practices and games, are also cancelled for Friday. Students should not report to school, as the buildings will be closed. Additionally, all CPS facilities will be closed tomorrow, including all school buildings, gymnasiums, and Central and Network Offices. Classes will resume for all CPS students on Monday, January 26. Please stay safe, warm, and dry.
