From revealing crosswalks adorned with Pride and Trans flags in front of City Hall to immortalizing historic LGBTQ+ safe spaces with Aids Garden Chicago, we've been hard at work highlighting the vibrancy of our city's LGBTQ+ residents and their contributions these past 30 days.

As #PrideMonth closes, I wanted to share some photos from the groundbreaking of the AIDS Garden this month, in my district at the Belmont Rocks. A first-of-its-kind in Chicago, this will serve as a memorial to lives lost in that pandemic, and those who continue to live with #HIV.
