Unfortunate? I love when Wester Activists have zero understanding of struggles of Japan Artists and animators.
Industry that is know for low wages, deadly timeline and overworked artists is being scrutinized for using AI for background, it's not even characters or scenery, it is just BACKGROUND.
I will say this, don't like it? Don't watch it.

@ChibiMyne Mesmo se for pouco, acredito que o importante é passar a mensagem que o público não quer IA em anime para gerar imagem. Ferramentas gráficas são usadas para muitos processos na animação atualmente, mas para gerar imagens é um caminho ruim a ser seguido.

Não dá pra ser feliz com o anime de Bookworm. Saiu de um estúdio bom que claramente era o patinho feio sem orçamento e foi virar laboratório de IA. É brincadeira 😡

@renren26100 @ul9sk2 seriously harsh for calling the entire thing ai slop yes its not great if theycl actually used it but no definitive proof and two except for the potential few frames in the opening it was done by hand

Not surprised at all to see that WIT erroneously decided to implement AI-generated backgrounds for Bookworm's OP. They've been entertaining a pro-AI stance for a while now, it just sucks to see them doing it so brazenly and doing it to such an accomplished artist like Nakazawa

I would ask questions even if AI does not exist, to why some scenes looks so weird.
