This week Officer McAndrew hosted a St. Patrick's themed luncheon for our 9th district Older Adults

18 March officers conducted a traffic stop near 43/Paulina. After further investigation officers recovered a loaded Glock with an extended magazine. Suspect did not posses a FOID or CCL. Felony charges pending at this time.

9th District Senior Fair at Sherman Park.

13March, officers patrolling near Hoyne/52nd Pl viewed a group of people congregating in the middle of the street. Officers approached and suspects yelled “12” fleeing southbound through the alley clutching his waistband. Suspect placed in custody and weapon recovered.

27Feb officers patrolling near 51/wood observed suspect’s flashing gang signs and after a brief foot pursuits suspects were place in custody and weapons recovered.

28Feb officers responded to shots fired near 46/Winchester. Officers placed 2 suspects in custody and weapons recovered.

23Feb. Officers responded to a call of a man w/a gun near 35th/Western. Officers made contact w subject(s) matching the 911 description. Suspect(s) was armed with a handgun and a rifle (reported stolen). Suspect(s) were placed in custody and weapons recovered.

20Feb officers conducted a traffic stop 42/Mozart for an inoperable tail lights. Upon approach driver was observed bending down trying to conceal an unk object. Driver was asked out of the veh and officers observed a firearm fall from suspects waist. Suspect placed in custody.
