Plan Commission is hearing an informational update on Advocate Health Care's planned $300 million community hospital at 8000 S. Lake Shore Drive in South Chicago. Part of the multibillion-dollar Quantum Shore campus, the project will be first new South Side hospital in decades.

Plan Commission approved LG Group's proposed residential building at 1201 W. Kinzie St. on the Near West Side. The $25 million project includes 66 mixed-income units and 14 parking spaces.

Plan Commission approved 1415 N Dayton LLC's proposed 28-story residential building at 1415 N. Dayton St. on the Near North Side. The $102.8 million project includes 340 mixed-income units and 164 parking spaces.

Landmarks Commission approved Adopt-A-Landmark grants for Apollo's 2000, 2875 W. Cermak Road, and the Pierce Arrow building, 2420 S. Michigan Ave. The grants will provide nearly $500,000 to support two restoration projects collectively valued at $1.5 million.

@TheCRCL held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week for its newly renovated South Lawndale child education facility, which serves more than 500 children and families in the area. DPD assisted the $11.9M project with a $1.15M Community Development Grant to modernize the building.

St. Paul C.M.E. Church, located at 4644 S. Dearborn St. in Grand Boulevard, received a final landmark recommendation from the Landmarks Commission. The 1925 Tudor Revival building houses Chicago's oldest Christian Methodist Episcopal congregation.

Byrne Hall, 2219 N. Kenmore Ave., received a preliminary landmark recommendation from the Landmarks Commission today. Completed in 1907, the Italian Renaissance Revival building was the original home of DePaul University and remains a part of the school's Lincoln Park campus.
