@BruceIronsNFL It seems, dear Bruce, that you were ignorant of the actual interview. Because Caleb didn't say 2 of the 3 things you claim he said.

This is so dumb. Caleb Williams says: 1. He doesn't know who George Gervin in (which is ignorant) 2. Doesn't even like the nickname (which is funny considering how much he plays it up) 3. Only wants to trademark it so other people won't make money on it (which is greedy & sad)
ProFootballTalk@ProFootballTalk

In a recent interview with @FOS, Caleb Williams explained the reason for seeking trademark protect for the name "Iceman." nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@Peter_Bukowski @TyDunne Ty Dunne set out to profit by doing the flip side story on Seth Wickersham’s piece. You can call it great journalism, but then you’re trying to label chicken shit as chicken salad.
chicagofan9320@ChicagoFan9320

@TyDunne @Peter_Bukowski Peter, the damning part of the Caleb story is that Tyler saw Wickersham’s book & thought he could profit off the same storyline but by publishing the anonymous dirt of the coaches who wanted payback for Wickersham’s book. @Ky1eLong

The exact opposite is true inside the industry because people know @TyDunne is one of the few people still doing that kind of journalism. And guess what? He gets players and coaches to talk to him every day because he’s willing to tell an unvarnished story.
Asbestos Man@asbestosman8

That Caleb Williams hitpiece from last year is the most insane one ever, and Dunne is still invited on podcasts after that somehow instead of being locked out of the industry.

@TyDunne The point, Ty and @Peter_Bukowski, is that Bullard is talking about the Bears allegedly exhibiting fear and dread, in a game where HE AND HIS TEAM exhibited fear and dread in the 4th quarter and choked when it mattered most. The irony and Bullard's hypocrisy escape you two.

Hell, it's the story. Bullard far more critical of his own team than Chicago. Wants to usher in a killer instinct & knows you can't curl into the fetal position. Gotta lean into sort of Packers-Bears hate that would've made Lombardi 'n Halas proud. Ben Johnson sure did.
Peter Bukowski@Peter_Bukowski

@GBraggsJr23 The whole point of the quote is to indict the Packers and Bears fans have taken it so personally, it’s great.

Javon Bullard tells @TyDunne he could see the fear in the Bears' eyes when the Packers were blowing them out in the first half, but admitted Green Bay didn't have the killer instinct to extinguish their hope.

@Peter_Bukowski @TyDunne Bullard is so funny because the whole country could see the dread and fear in the Packers' eyes that entire fourth quarter. Goodness, just look at LaFleur's reaction to McManus's missed FG: he knew the collapse was inevitable.

@ggabefootball Ozzy will NOT only miss 6 games. Patellar tendon injuries take a minimum of 11 months to heal. They'll be lucky to have Ozzy back in December.

If Bears can get Decker cheap (I mean cheap) he’s worth signing Ozzy will only miss about 6 games (PUP). Otherwise they need to pass

@QueenCityBear @PaytonBEd @GBraggsJr23 How am i eating crow? The point remains the same: Greg is blaming Gervin and ignoring the fact that Caleb is the one who is trying to restrict people from using the nickname. Gervin only apparently filed after Caleb did. Why ignore Caleb? That's the point.

@GBraggsJr23 Greg, I don't think you understand. Gervin is the one saying many players have used the nickname and it should be available to the next generation. Caleb is the trying to trademark it and keep it only for himself.

@PaytonBEd @GBraggsJr23 I stand corrected, although I don't believe Gervin ever sought to trademark the nickname until Caleb tried it.

@ProfMJCleveland @SenatorDurbin I don't understand your position, Margot. You feel you have enough evidence to "indict" Jack Smith in a Senate hearing, but you don't have enough evidence to question him? I don't get it.

@dabearsblog This is a cliched take. The Patriots went from bad to Super Bowl in one offseason, largely because of their free agency haul. Yes, Vrabel was important, but he’s not playing. If it were all him he’d still be a Titan.

While being out on a glorious theatrical sabbatical, I have checked in on the same Bears free agency debate. My take? They were a good team in January. They’re a good team now. Teams don’t go from good to great in FA. They’ll add in draft and be even better come summer.

@BradBiggs Is Keenum's re-signing to a 2-year deal on the 1st day of FA a reflection of his in-season value to teams with young QBs like the Raiders, but also his offseason value? Does Keenum act as a de facto coach for Caleb when coaches are not allowed offseason contact?

@dumbsushi @GoldmanSats21 @Truth_matters20 @dannyonnx So you’re saying Sola Scriptura could not have applied “from the 2nd century through Athanasius after that and your provincial councils in the 4th century as well” since God was still in the process of defining his complete scriptura.

@ChicagoFan9320 @GoldmanSats21 @Truth_matters20 @dannyonnx Not a joke. Your church wasn’t a thing until 4th-5th century. Probably 5th because Justinian cemented your group historically. Yes. It shows progression from the 2nd century through Athanasius after that and your provincial councils in the 4th century as well.

@dumbsushi @GoldmanSats21 @Truth_matters20 @dannyonnx Not my Church? Is that a joke? You literally cross post references to Athansius and the Councils? Huh? And how did the early Christians reach "consensus"? How did they know to exclude the Gospels of Thomas and Peter? Hmmmm?
