The Leesburg Police Department hosted our 4th annual Fiesta Latina event on Saturday. This event was created by LPD to strengthen relationships with members of the community and has grown into one of our more popular outreach initiatives.

Instruction was provided by LPD SROs, dept. staff, & civilian volunteers.

Today, 5 participants graduated LPD Camp Independence, which is geared towards the inclusion of students (14-17 y/o) who have disabilities. The camp exposed participants to activities that teach them how to successfully live an independent life. Thank you to our many volunteers!

After nearly 50 years in the fire service, it’s time to step away. My last day on the job will be July 29. I’ve tried this retirement thing a couple times already but this time I’m done. It’s been a great ride in the greatest job in the world.
