Just to be clear, I’m being mostly tongue-in-cheek here. I’m not seriously arguing that seeing the movie has zero impact on supporting the people in it. What I’m suggesting is that, in this specific case, it might actually do Leto more harm than good in the long run.
He’s clearly been radioactive to this production. The marketing has kept him at arm’s length, and given how replaceable he is in the role, there’s a very real chance he gets recast for any sequels. If the movie succeeds without giving him the spotlight, it leaves him with less room to spin a narrative where he comes out looking good.
I also don’t think it’s fair to kneecap an otherwise solid production over one terrible casting choice, especially when we don’t know the full context of how or why he was cast in the first place. There might’ve been legitimate reasons they didn’t just cut him loose earlier.
Maybe that’s just cope, but that’s where I’m coming from and I’d rather give people the benefit of the doubt than pretend I know enough to judge and punish them when they’ve otherwise done nothing wrong.

If you’re hesitant about Masters of the Universe because of Jared Leto, consider this:
1.) Reports say he didn’t even like doing it and he hated the final cut of the film.
2.) They’ve got him sidelined with his head the corner for the premiere and entire press tour. No one even mentions his name.
3.) He’s completely unrecognizable in the role.
4.) He’s disappeared into Skeletor so much, the adulation is going to the character, not him.
5.) If it succeeds, the story will be that it worked in spite of him.
Seeing the movie doesn’t support Jared Leto. It makes you a willing participant in his humiliation ritual. 💀 🫵😂

It was created to give an excuse to have super epic cool giant tiny space knights with flaming swords n sh*t fighting demons on cathedral spaceships because it was cool to them.
This idea the game was created as a work of politician and religious satire isn't even secondary, it's like third-ary. The religious elements were there because it looked metal af. They just wanted heavy metal sci fi album covers to come to life on the tabletop. People didn't make nerd stuff back then out of spite or some politician statement about extremism and xenophobia, they created stuff just to have fun.

Convenience store food may contain pork-derived ingredients. In summer, there are shrine festivals. At New Year, many people visit shrines for hatsumode. When someone dies, cremation is the norm. At drinking gatherings, there is also a culture of pouring drinks for others. This is not harassment. It is simply the everyday life that Japanese people have built over a long period of time. Of course, your faith should be respected. But in the same way, Japanese culture and customs should also be respected. Before coming here and saying, “I want this changed,” please think carefully about whether this country truly fits you. Japan does not exist to reject anyone. But it also does not exist to be remade for someone else’s convenience.
