What I find interesting about the Newsoms is that they both relentlessly promote liberal/left ideologies that are corrosive to family formation and undermine traditional values. However, at the same time, they've been in a heterosexual marriage for 20+ years and have 4 children together. By those measures, they are more "trad" in terms of their own lifestyle than most Americans are, even a lot of conservatives aren't married with 4 kids. So what that tells me is the Newsoms KNOW that the traditional family model is the best; that's why they chose it when they both could've chosen anything else. But as elites they still promote insidious ideologies that end up harming the ordinary people who listen to them. It's a perfect illustration of "luxury beliefs."

The funny thing is that, compared to the things he’s done, Kanye West has actually received A LOT of grace. Azealia Banks also has bipolar disorder yet she’s been completely written off as a meme and a rage bot. It would be more honest if some of you simply admitted you love his music too much to care about the harmful things he’s done instead of pretending he hasn’t been given grace.

The mental illness is not realizing that the words of a president matters.
Trump put himself in a position where he either committed an unthinkable atrocity, or back down,thus cheapening any future assertion he makes.
In either case, he's lost credibility and political capital.

Trump wrote one of the most unhinged things I've ever read in a social media post, so naturally this website is wall-to-wall with condemnations of... Democrats... largely from people who insisted in 2024 that you should not to vote for the Democrats.

@ChiefRockar I think the post is mostly referencing the Scottish guy (John Davidson) with Tourette's Syndrome that called Michael B Jordan a "nigga" at the BAFTA this year. People defended him, and if I recall correctly, he didn't even apologize for it in his statement.

It's a good time to remind people that Ye has a severe mental health disorder that he has been battling with for more than a decade.
He has also gone on an apologising spree and released statements explaining this.
None of it has excused his behaviour, hateful statements, or actions.
Entire governments have taken action against him and written statements against antisemitism.
All of this is right. Mental illnesses/diseases should not come without consequences for behaviour that cause harm. Even with an apology. Accountability always has to come first.
I want us to remember all of this when the person is white and has a disease that makes them direct same hateful statements against black people and minorities.
So that the goalpost won't shift then.
