Look for rain to expand across the area today. Highest totals should be situated across southern parts of the region. Ground is wet from Saturday nights rain, so any heavier downpours will be prone to runoff into the roads. Be careful on the feeders, construction zones, etc

251am...Front and associated showers and storms making their way through the Houston metro area. Look for a quick 1-2" of rain as it tracks south. Poor drainage areas/roads could see some ponding of water...though widespread flash flood issues are not currently anticipated.
