It's official! My game is releasing in 8 days on January 21st. It's been a weird journey, but I'm excited for people to play it. It's not the best game that could've been made. I think I could've done better, but it is finished and I love what I've accomplished.

So I did a thing yesterday after months of planning... from idea, to the concept by my daughter @fairyjuice_art to execution by Emma Judd of Crow and Pitcher Tattoo in Seattle... It was a long day

@realJarNod Proper introductions of the basics of systems should all that need to occur, then optional guides within the game IF they want to read them. For me it less about yellow tape and more about understanding the game play loop and how the systems connect so playing is fun and organic

That’s the question. How do you guide your players without yellow paint? And if yellow paint, how do you make the game fun and engaging for players who dislike it? Which is your target audience? Mine is the playerbase that doesn’t want to be yanked out of their immersion

It’s why I started my own studio. The focus needs to be back on games.
