Congratulations to the newly appointed @RoyalNavy @GenGJenkinsRM . It was great to talk to you about our continued efforts to strengthen our long standing Navy to Navy relationship, enhancing the lethality of our navies through cooperation, partnership and AUKUS.

While recently at HMAS Kuttabul in Sydney I spoke with @60Mins about the actions being taken by @Australian_Navy to maximise the lethality of the fleet in being in the context of Australia’s evolving maritime strategic environment.

@CN_Australia Today marks 20 years since the tragic loss of #AusNavy Sea King Shark 02 during a humanitarian mission on Nias Island, Indonesia. To all Fleet Air Arm and #AusNavy members I ask that you support each other during this time. Lest we forget. ⚓

This week it was great to walk the deck plates & visit #OurNavy across the fleet. The clear lower decks were a great opportunity to engage with, to listen to & to learn from the experiences of #OurPeople. I continue to be inspired by the work of our sailors & officers.

BZ to our first @Australian_Navy submariners for qualifying to serve on @RoyalNavy Astute-class submarines as Nuclear Engineers. This is a milestone achievement in the advancement of our future submarine capability working in collaboration with our UK navy-to-navy partners.

Today I met with Lithuanian Ambassador His Excellency Mr Darius Degutis to celebrate a recent search & rescue mission conducted by #HMASChoules.   BZ to the crew who battled against rough seas to rescue Lithuanian rower Aurimas Mockus from Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

BZ to our #AusNavy Sailor of the Year winners. Both myself and @WON_Australia enjoyed listening to your perspectives and experiences, which will shape the future of #OurNavy. Sailors make up more than 70% of our Navy, and are essential to execute Navy’s mission.
