Will be on the lookout for that. Need to get some utility scale BESS going

@ChifambaKay @ThaSolarGuy ZERA will do an audit soon so we could get an idea soon. If most homes and businesses had smart meters it would be easier. Another way to get a quick idea is to use Eskom's approach: Compare demand for Zesa at midday in 2020 vs now at same time of year.

That’s impressive. I’d assume that at a non-net metering level that amount is much higher

@ChifambaKay I would be lying however by 26Nov 2025 the Country’s net mettering capacity was 95MWh
English

@ThaSolarGuy Do we have an idea of the country’s installed capacity at residential and C&I level and what that growth has been since 2020
English

Zoom out for a sec, let’s talk about net-metering.
In one day:
74.4kWh harvested from the sun
67.02kWh sent back to the grid
In just one week of net metering:
1.398MWh generated
632.5kWh exported
And this is only week one…
That means from day one, the system is not just powering loads, its already creating value:
- Running your home/business during the day
- Cutting down what you owe the utility
- Feeding excess back as credit through net metering
Give it a month, this thing turns into a serious energy asset.
From consumer to prosumer, and this is just the beginning.
