As I told @UnclosetedMedia, Katy Faust's rhetoric can be difficult to refute because she uses progressive rights language to advance a regressive, evangelical agenda. You have to look beneath the rhetoric at her policy ideas to understand the danger.

You’re correct, spanking, whooping, and beating children is a form of sexual assault, one with many psychological effects. Abusive parents fail to realize the sadomasochistic elements and pervertedness that is ingrained within that type of harmful punishment.
