@PalCareCEN @LouiseKellySLT I work within a specialist Palliative care team but am employed by the acute trust. I provide input to inpatients with complex palliative care needs as well as providing designated service to the two local hospices. It was originally a Macmillan funded post :-)

How many people are working in formal palliative care settings such as a hospice- if so, are they employed directly by the hospice or on a service level agreement (it would be useful to know which) ? @LouiseKellySLT

Good progress on the Mental Capacity (Amendment) Bill. Speech and language therapists must be involved in mental capacity assessments so people with communication needs get the support/protection they deserve. More to be done but good to see the minister taking this seriously
