Many poisonings can be prevented with safe storage. Keep medicines, cleaning products, chemicals, and other hazardous items out of sight, out of reach, and locked.

Some poisoning risks are easy to overlook. Small items like button batteries, water beads, and nicotine products can pose serious dangers to children - keep them up locked up and out of reach. If a button battery may have been swallowed, treat it as an emergency and call: National Battery Ingestion Hotline: 800-498-8666 Poison Help: 1-800-222-1222
