Scott Bessent on the All-In Pod was a great listen
What stuck out to me was his foundational plan and economic strategy:
- Deleverage the government by reducing the debt (gradually and over time)
- Deregulation particularly in the financial sector to boost growth (again in a methodical fashion and one-by-one)
- Reordering international trade via tariffs and trade policies to strengthen the US position and incentivize onshore growth
It was clear listening to Bessent that they have a real plan and are executing it in a thoughtful fashion.
I walked away more bullish on the mid-term (1-4 years) than I was, and my gut reaction was that the near term pain won't be much worse either.
Bessent made it seem like they want to achieve their goals, but over 4 years, and not break things or effectively cause a recession to be blunt.
Reassuring.
Loved having this level of access and getting to hear from one of the most important people in this administration talk firsthand and in a long form discussion.
Curious for others' takeaways and reactions to this one...

We can onboard 1 affluent person at a time this way or onboard thousands of everyday collectors via something like NBA Top Shot and ~5% of those people become art collectors/appreciators. Feels like we are missing fun projects that actually onboard people to the concept of digital collectibles. Maybe Courtyard is it? What else?
