@A24 Lol fuck outta here.
I personally think ya'll can do better than recycling the most boring shit the internet has to offer.
Sorry, "adapting" the most boring shit the internet has to offer.
English

some genuinely crazy stuff is going on behind the scenes. well, crazy to me. you should all set reasonable expectations but a lot has happened, very quickly lol
for those happy with any kind of high-quality, official content, the dry spell WILL be broken soon. i'm stoked bro

English

@curiousfoxsox I know little about the game, but this looks great so far.
English

@kanethecarter Without being too specific, would you say the game is smaller or bigger than MyPopgoes?
English

@kanethecarter The Popgoes game where he's on a train and William's the conductor?
English

@kanethecarter they care about the functionality more than the mob. at its core the mob is just a slime that acts like a golf ball
English

I'm NOT saying you shouldn't be able to attack passive mobs or exploit them. I'm saying the concept of a passive mob that does literally nothing unless you effectively bully it is antithetical to Minecraft's generally respectful approach to "wildlife" in the game. It feels strange and out of character.
Why did the dev team create a mob, with eyes and movement and reproduction, that exists to be used as a football? EXISTS TO BE A FOOTBALL. Not CAN BE used as a football. I'm not complaining about players CHOOSING to play baseball with Armadillos and Knockback weapons lol. I don't think this is that confusing
English

The Sulfur Cube mob feels so bizarrely against the spirit of Minecraft. It's a completely harmless passive creature that you're encouraged to force feed non-food objects and then attack it so it goes flying? What did it do to deserve this? I'm not joking, the premise just feels cruel on a level that is out of character for the game.
Also, what do ANY of these properties have to do with sulfur, the element? Why is a block of sulfur slimy and bouncy and slippery? I feel like this entire concept would have been better as an item you craft out of Slimeballs. If it's meant to be a play on vulcanisation, then I think it would have been better to add Rubber to the game for this exact purpose. A Rubber Cube mob (or item, if we'd like to be less abusive to living creatures...) seems 100x more fitting.

@ItsIdyllic_ I'm sure it'll be controversial to some, but the way they handled Caine's death was perfect. No music, no sfx, just suddenly disappearing. It's like kicking a player from a server. I wonder if the abstractions will come out to chase them in episode 9
English

@Chillfire21 Oh no I have already seen it, and yeah, it's absolute peak.
I went into it expecting to feel really sad afterwards, instead I ended up feeling completely shocked by the ending. Geniunely what the fuck.

@Isacx_Plays And I'd like to see characters be hidden more until a tension release like a jumpscare, as characters lose their fear factor the more you can see them. Manipulate the shadows, like Scott did in fnaf 1
English

@Isacx_Plays Imo, all unique characters should be given unique traits, and shouldn't be repeated in later parts of the game (e.g: smiling critters, then we got nightmare critters, then wrongside outimals) (1/2)
English

What types of monsters in horror games do you love and want to see more of, and what types are you sick of? Both in terms of visual design and in gameplay
Isacx@Isacx_Plays
What are the biggest things you want to see innovated on in future mascot horror games? What feels old, stale, repetetive, and has a lot of room for something NEW?
English

@Isacx_Plays It's been done to death, I'm aware, but maybe something like the fnaf 1 animatronics, with dead eyes, 0 emotion, and are treated more like haunted objects than outright "monsters" that want to kill you. Giving them personality makes them less scary imo

@prototipodoruim @Isacx_Plays @MV0274039817280 Poppy with multiple different choices would've been a lot more fun. It'd make you feel like your choices actually make an impact on the world and you aren't just following instructions blindly the whole game. Also it'd be good for replayability
English

@Isacx_Plays @MV0274039817280 Non-linear horror with a central hub, alternative paths, and backtracking. The focus is on environmental storytelling and an intelligent AI that dictates the pace of the hunt. Scripted moments are rare, used only to orient the player and prevent them from getting lost.

Sometime, someday, I think I would really enjoy making a Poppy Playtime spiritual successor! Not LITERALLY Poppy Playtime, but rather a game that has all the sorta stuff people have come to love about Poppy, while also massively improving from all the mistakes I've made before
English

@Isacx_Plays I feel like the factory wouldve been more intriguing without a lot of the answers
Also make it so you have to pay the full price for the game at chapter 2 (think Deltarune)so you don't have to spend a ton for every new instalment that you might not even enjoy
English

@Isacx_Plays In Poppy, I feel like I would've slightly preferred not seeing all of the factory and having there be an implication of there being more that we haven't seen. The factory is huge but it feels like we've seen the main areas by now (1/2)
English

@Isacx_Plays Phisnom, before making fnaf plus was making a fangame based around a sit n' survive gameshow and looked replayable and fun but disturbing at the same time. If you made a really terrifying but addictive game then I'd definitely play it
English

@Isacx_Plays Ones with good gameplay, that'll make me want to replay them. I want a horror game that is addicting as TBOI
English

@soapimeow @RBTmomment @NazoOmega66101 @freefallgracie Phisnom's a dick who I have little respect for but the fnaf community is way worse. Blame the stupid kids who sent gore for the cancellation if anything
English

@soapimeow @RBTmomment @NazoOmega66101 @freefallgracie D he wasn't getting paid at all by it and made money primarily from streaming. He acted toxic and satirical whenever people asked about it because he was tired of the constant begging for updates. "When is fnaf plus coming out?"
