Jambo Nelson. Another issue. Our leaders travel abroad, are chauffeured in an SUV or Limousine from the Airport to the Embassy, Hotel, Conference Centers, Brothels, Strip Clubs and Nightclubs. The East African Development Bank (EADB) has set the record straight on the loan dispute with embattled former CS Raphael Tuju. EADB intimated that Tuju has not honoured any court ruling demanding that he pay a Ksh.1.9 debt to the bank. Tuju borrowed Ksh 943.9M from EADB in 2015 & used the loan to develop commercial units in Nairobi EADB moved to court in 2018 after Tuju failed to repay the loan & the bank filed the case at the High Court of Justice Business in UK. Consequently, under the terms of the charge, EADB successfully auctioned the Ngong Road property that had been pledged by Dari Limited as security on October 1, 2024. In summary, the dispute revolves around a loan taken in 2015 that went into default, with prime Karen properties used as collateral to secure the borrowing. Courts across different jurisdictions have consistently affirmed the lender’s legal right to recover the outstanding amount through sale or auction, emphasizing that contractual obligations must be honored. Despite Tuju’s claims regarding mismanagement of funds, a stalled development project, and a declined buyout proposal, the rulings have maintained that these factors do not override the enforceability of the original loan agreement.

@ReubenKigame Agree 💯 Presidents must be held liable & fully accountable for any misdeeds and misrule committed while in office to deter this kind of blatant impunity to an extent of turning Kenya into a personal or family enterprise.Confiscating the loot & hanging people is the only remedy.

Sitting Presidents must be prevented from signing contracts that stretch beyond their time in office and should be answerable for messes they create during their tenure even when they leave office.
