Have finished a pair of helmet art projects in the last month. Not totally happy with the Nebraska Big Ten display for a variety of reasons (it may get a make-over), but the Papio helmet came out better than I hoped!
@CorreaisPapi@Seth_3773 takes an unnatural, delayed swing (like taking a cut at a pitch in the dirt while the catcher is trying to throw out a base stealer), the umpire will rule it as interference
@CorreaisPapi@Seth_3773 Under Official Baseball Rule 6.03(a)(3), the rules governing this situation break down into specific scenarios:
•The Intent to Hit: A batter has the right to attempt to hit a pitch. However, if the pitch has already passed the catcher or been secured, and the batter then…
@CorreaisPapi@Seth_3773 That’s a different scenario than this video. How late matters and what other action is occurring? When doing the umpire training they run through all of these.
@CorreaisPapi@Seth_3773 At this point the ball has been caught by the catcher from the legal pitch, inside the catchers box, from this point forward the batter making contact with the catcher is batter interference.
@CorreaisPapi@Seth_3773 Batter Interference, batter out, runner back to first. Rule: Batter interference occurs when a batter hinders a catcher's ability to field a ball or throw to a base, such as by stepping out of the box or swinging and/or making contact w/ the catcher during a stolen base attempt.
@Seth_3773 Comment section is hilarious, watch any high level of baseball, the catcher never (and isn’t supposed to) go out in front of the plate. They always throw from behind the plate. At that point the batter swings and it becomes catcher interference.
Things I miss about Nebraska:
1. Hyvee. Nothing here compares.
2. Pawnee Plunge. Cheyenne lacks good outdoor public pools.
3. Lightning bugs. 😭
4. Mail that came to my house.
5. Runza
6. Morels
7. NFM
8. The Missouri River
9. Local weather coverage
10. Water
New research commissioned by a group petitioning to legalize online sports betting found that doing so could generate just under $87 million in new state tax revenue over five years. kearneyhub.com/news/state-reg…
@baseballinpix Flips…Brewers/White Sox, Mets/Orioles, Giants/Angels. No alignment should put same city teams in the same division. The “Coast Bias” for AL/NL is a bizarre twist. How about just two divisions East and West in each the AL and NL?
FOX Sports produced a hypothetical MLB realignment proposal The realignment is designed around the addition of two expansion teams: a Portland team and a Charlotte team. The proposal aims to fix travel issues by creating eight 4-team divisions based on geography rather than traditional league alignments. Thoughts?

According to the most recent National Assessment of Educational Progress, only 28% of Nebraska fourth graders are reading at or above the proficient level.
That’s not good enough for our kids — and the status quo isn’t working.
This session, the Unicameral has an opportunity to pass LB1050 that will help set our kids up to excel as readers and build a lifetime of success.
