District Administration Chirang has announced the date and venue for postal voting for the 19 Sidli Chirang (ST) LAC and the 20 Bijni LAC in connection with the General Election to the Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2026.

The Honourable General, Expenditure, and Police Observers for 19-Sidli Chirang (ST) LAC and 20-Bijni LAC will be available daily at designated locations from 19th March to 9th April 2026. Citizens may meet them during specified hours to address any election-related grievances.

In view of the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly Election, the District Magistrate has issued a prohibitory order under Section 163 BNSS, restricting unlawful assembly, processions, unauthorized use of loudspeakers, carrying weapons, and other activities disturbing public peace.
