@KenCCheng @MrPitbull07 I think you are too kind calling them 'jerks'.
English

@MrPitbull07 Patients' families do appreciate the small things; because they certainly face enough jerks in life. This truck parked in a handicapped spot, no handicap tag. Worse is they parked on the sidewalk which has no curb, to help patients in wheelchairs, like my mom.

"My name's Raymond. I'm 73. I work the parking lot at St. Joseph's Hospital. Minimum wage, orange vest, a whistle I barely use. Most people don't even look at me. I'm just the old man waving cars into spaces.
But I see everything.
Like the black sedan that circled the lot every morning at 6 a.m. for three weeks. Young man driving, grandmother in the passenger seat. Chemotherapy, I figured. He'd drop her at the entrance, then spend 20 minutes hunting for parking, missing her appointments.
One morning, I stopped him. "What time tomorrow?"
"6:15," he said, confused.
"Space A-7 will be empty. I'll save it."
He blinked. "You... you can do that?"
"I can now," I said.
Next morning, I stood in A-7, holding my ground as cars circled angrily. When his sedan pulled up, I moved. He rolled down his window, speechless. "Why?"
"Because she needs you in there with her," I said. "Not out here stressing."
He cried. Right there in the parking lot.
Word spread quietly. A father with a sick baby asked if I could help. A woman visiting her dying husband. I started arriving at 5 a.m., notebook in hand, tracking who needed what. Saved spots became sacred. People stopped honking. They waited. Because they knew someone else was fighting something bigger than traffic.
But here's what changed everything, A businessman in a Mercedes screamed at me one morning. "I'm not sick! I need that spot for a meeting!"
"Then walk," I said calmly. "That space is for someone whose hands are shaking too hard to grip a steering wheel."
He sped off, furious. But a woman behind him got out of her car and hugged me. "My son has leukemia," she sobbed. "Thank you for seeing us."
The hospital tried to stop me. "Liability issues," they said. But then families started writing letters. Dozens. "Raymond made the worst days bearable." "He gave us one less thing to break over."
Last month, they made it official. "Reserved Parking for Families in Crisis." Ten spots, marked with blue signs. And they asked me to manage it.
But the best part? A man I'd helped two years ago, his mother survived, came back. He's a carpenter. Built a small wooden box, mounted it by the reserved spaces. Inside? Prayer cards, tissues, breath mints, and a note,
"Take what you need. You're not alone. -Raymond & Friends"
People leave things now. Granola bars. Phone chargers. Yesterday, someone left a hand-knitted blanket.
I'm 73. I direct traffic in a hospital parking lot. But I've learned this: Healing doesn't just happen in operating rooms. Sometimes it starts in a parking space. When someone says, "I see your crisis. Let me carry this one small piece."
So pay attention. At the grocery checkout, the coffee line, wherever you are. Someone's drowning in the little things while fighting the big ones.
Hold a door. Save a spot. Carry the weight no one else sees.
It's not glamorous. But it's everything."
Let this story reach more hearts....

@EmilyCh38476529 @bambibristol Most of these children have likely been born here so are British children. Im a tax payer and perfectly happy to support those worse off than me through no choice of their own. The 'rich parents' will be paying more tax than us, specially if in high paid jobs on London wages.
English

@bambibristol Most of these children belong to other countries. Why am I paying for their breakfast?
English

@robinjfisher @BROKENBRITAIN0 @CarrieZimbo But there isn't because kids will be kids. And I think people just pick battles for the sake of it. Put in a cheese sarnie and save the battle for if pork gets banned from the shops. Then I'm right with you.
English

@robinjfisher @BROKENBRITAIN0 @CarrieZimbo Let's be honest. There's probably been an issue with children sharing lunches and a Muslim child has inadvertently eaten pork and as its strictly forbidden school feel its easier to just say no pork. Protects everyone. Maybe a school with lots of Hindu children would say no beef?
English

🚨 UK SCHOOL BANS CHILDREN FROM HAVING PORK IN THEIR LUNCHES❗️
Mere Green Primary School has told parents that their children, they are NOT ALLOWED to take any PORK in packed lunches 😲
WHY SHOULD WE OR OUR CHILDREN BE BANNED FROM HAVING PORK TO APPEASE ISLAM? 🇬🇧 @CarrieZimbo

@Natlog2 @basilthegreat Well I wouldn't be taking my phone out these days in that situation. It would be gone along with any evidence.
English

@basilthegreat Is there a reason she won’t show his face? This feels staged to me.
English

@cici_zihni What on earth is wrong with a man sticking up for other men. Both mothers AND fathers, and in fact ANYONE using the NHS should be treated with CARE and respect.
Yes mothers "labour" but guys are scared too. Is a camp bed and a cuppa too much to ask?

@Lizsflk23 @ShahrarAli You do appreciate that people can change their minds? Admit they got some stuff wrong? Most people believed immigrants would come and want to integrate. We welcomed finding out about different cultures, but it shouldn't mean we have to change our way of life.
English

@ShahrarAli Well, Welcome tp the cost of policies you supported and believe in for the last 30 or 40 years
English

I'm genuinely alarmed at how increasingly unrecognisable Tower Hamlets has become even since a few years ago. On a short, 10-minute walk I must have passed 30+ individual women in niqab (only eyes visible). Roughly 30% of the women I passed; some quite young, all going about their business, often choosing to speak a foreign language.
This is no kind of civic society. It doesn't feel like modern Western British society but medieval Islamist, oppressive, patriarchal.
This is the borough where women aged 12+ were commanded not to participate in a fun run at the weekend. I doubt the younger ones would have been able to anyway, certainly not unsupervised. So women in this area are being treated as second-class citizens in hock to a backwards culture that politicians are too frightened to say or do anything about.

@femalebodybuil6 She is on a beach having fun with her kids. Whats the issue?

@basilthegreat My mother who was a woman was the most beautiful loving accepting gentle person i have ever known. I am proud to also be a woman trying my best to emulate her beliefs and behaviours towards anyone I meet. I have 2 wonderful daughters and 2 amazing sons. Men and women.

@Victoria_Rixon Are men having uterine transplantation as part of sex change surgery? Will a foetus grow in a male bod? as in can we get the hormone levels right? Can a male body tolerate pregnancy hormones? Its all very interesting. Can't see it happening very often can you?

The NHS are an embarrassment How can this be allowed?
English

@ClarksonsFarm1 Well I'm not here illegally, I dont break any laws , I work hard and I pay all of my taxes and bills, so probably wont do me any harm but also stinks of "big brother" dont you think?
English

@JamesEsses I suppose there might also be fathers wanting information or women who have had babies who dont like to be generalised as "ladies" maybe?
English

@PeriklesGREAT I think i am as confused and as confusing as this whole debate. Love not hate, compassion not condemnation.
English

@PeriklesGREAT No if that's what that classroom community wants so long as its about celebrating care and compassion towards others and ok to fly other flags too.
English

@BeniRaeHarmony @wics_abc20 So sorry this has happened to you. Seems our belief systems are falling apart. Neither hate or compassion are allowed to just be
feelings that people used to have to just work through over time. Social media weed is spreading through lawns of common sense and reflective learning
English

Effective immediately, I have resigned from @WICS_ABC20 after being SUSPENDED for airing a non-partisan tribute to Charlie Kirk this past Friday.
Many in the mainstream media have been fired or punished for mocking his assassination. I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air.
My resignation is guided by values that are essential to who I am, which I refuse to set aside in order to keep a job. I choose my faith and love of country, and always will.
Thank you, Springfield. My home. My community. My people. ❤️
God Bless Charlie Kirk and his beautiful family, and God Bless these United States of America.
English

@sharrond62 Got to feel sorry for said person. Clearly deluded and angry. I personally dont care if they come into my space so long as they dont cause me any trouble. However, that said, I am not a victim of Male threat so that's easy for me to say.
