Luke Murray: "I like the challenge. That was the thing that stood out the most. To me, it has the greatest potential. If you look at it, the history of the program, the history of the university, the conference that it competes in, it’s a little bit of an overused term, but it’s kind of a sleeping giant in men’s basketball. I think the challenge associated with coming in here and getting this program to its rightful position in the league was the thing that won out."

Luke Murray is a good dude. I will root hard for Luke at BC. I took a lot of “Mission Impossible jobs in my day (Columbia, Fordham, Rhode Island, Texas+Houston in 2004). I don’t think I would’ve taken the BC job unless I was getting 6 million per. Good luck Luke!

There were some that worried Murray will only use BC as a stepping stone. To that I say great. To go somewhere else he will need to win and if he wins it will make the job more desirable. Fans need to stop asking BC employees to take a blood oath.

Regardless of if Billy O turns the corner or if Murray is a bust, Blake James made two very solid hires. Arguably the best candidate and his No. 1 candidate each time. He's not Mr. Charisma but that's a better search percentage than most of our ADs in this century.
