Congratulations to Dr. Saravanan Matheshwaran @Saran240478 and Team for their latest JBC paper describing lowering of antimicrobial resistance by Mycobacterium upon impairment of its SOS response by inhibiting the LexA/RecA system. @mfcem_iitk @IITKanpur
Saravanan Matheshwaran@Saran240478

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a critical global threat. Targeting the bacterial SOS response, regulated by LexA and RecA, can reduce AMR. Our studies reveal a unique inhibitor that interacts with LexA in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, suppressing SOS response, lowering mutation.
