@DestinyTakes Unfortunately that’s expected. It’s a combination of Bungie rate limits and WAY more people finding this silly side project of mine than I expected. In case you’re curious how bad the rate limiting is:

@ThaDeathJay I’m only allowed to pull down 20 activity reports per second, so if someone has 10,000 reports (from what I’ve seen this is on the lower end) in their entire history, it’ll take ~8 minutes to pull down just the activities for them, not including any other information I’m pulling.

@dreynreh Kinda, Bungie rate limits are really slowing down how fast I can crawl a given person. I’ve got it going as fast as I can, unfortunately that’s still not exactly quick. Not to mention I wasn’t expecting this many people to find this website.

@dreynreh You can refresh or close the browser tab at any time and your spot in the queue is saved. Refreshing won’t restart anything. So yeah, go ahead and refresh the page.

@ChopstickLeg I love it, trying to download. Afters ~45 Minutes I'm getting this: "The live progress connection couldn't be re-established. The crawl may still have finished on the server." Should I refresh the page and restart or can I still wait for the notification?

@ChopstickLeg That make sense, I saw you mention it might take up to 2 hours so I was expecting that and it being so much longer had me worried it was site issues

@ThaDeathJay It’s unfortunately expected. Report generation is really slow due to a combination of the amount of data I’m pulling from the Bungie api, and the rate limits from Bungie’s side.

@Williams91898 Bungie rate limits mainly. I can only pull down so much data from the API at once, and I’m pulling down a lot. I know it sucks to have to wait for the report to build, but it’s building reports as fast as it possibly can. Unfortunately, as fast as possible is still very slow.

@oxleybird I'll try to see if there's a way I can more easily show that kind of information on the frontend though.

@oxleybird According to a query I just ran, there's 948,493 players with at least one Caldera completion. As far as the timeouts, that's not something a different browser/computer would fix, more on the fact that I'm storing too much data on a computer not powerful enough to handle it all.

Update on caldera.report
Conquests have been fixed (I think) and I’m working on re-generating leaderboards with correct info for them. Website should (hopefully) be a bit faster now too. Feel free to call me out if you find something broken.

So Bungie is displaying Conquest reports in the API in an… unexpected way. As a result, any data I’d show on Caldera Report would be wrong. So I hid all Conquest activities until I can make a fix to get them accurate again (still working on fixing leaderboards)

Just pushed a change to caldera.report that totally wiped out all leaderboard data. Working to get them all restored but it may take a while. Apologies for any inconvenience.

@Ictof1 Yeah, that’s technically been fixed, I just have to go through an re-crawl through old reports and clean those up. Started the process for that late yesterday, but it might take a while to get through all of them. Should see those get removed over the next few days.

@ChopstickLeg love the caldera report for completion of Conquest Avalon, but it is showing some green that aren't true clears
Any way to filter out the 0 score clears from the counts?
