Analysis: It is a wet start this morning, just as expected, and outbreaks of rain will continue across much of the day. Below is the latest accumulated rainfall data for the region from the 3am model run, covering the period from 3am through to midnight tonight. As the map shows, there is still plenty of rain to come. The legend highlights the rainfall totals in millimetres, along with the matching shading, and the highest projected total is also marked on the map over Cumbria. Areas without shading are still likely to see rain, but totals there are expected to be lower and less impactful than in the highlighted zones.
