Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, today received and held talks at his office with the European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships, Mr. Josef Šíkela. During the discussion, the Minister expressed his satisfaction with the successful launch of the European Union–Ethiopia Business Forum held today. Gedion noted that relations between Ethiopia and the European Union continue to grow stronger, and emphasized the need to further enhance cooperation in the renewable energy sector as well as across various areas of investment. For his part, Commissioner Josef Šíkela reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Ethiopia, particularly in renewable energy infrastructure, digitalization, and other areas of cooperation.
