@mizzodcast Next year will be OU for Rivalry Week. Arkansas will be moved up. OU has three rivals; LSU is not one so they need a new Thanksgiving game. - Texas has A&M - not changing - Ole Miss has Mississippi State - not changing - LSU-Arkansas returns to rivalry week; Mizzou gets OU

One thing we can agree with ARK fans about is this isn’t a rivalry. We disagree on the why though. Dancing on the Razorbacks grave is a fun annual tradition though.

@hallofgoodpod Carlos, Wacha, Shelby...hell even Jack. How none of those guys cemented themselves as aces with the talent they had is all I need to know about talent development at the Major League level in the last 15 years. All but Carlos have been better since they left, BTW.

Looking back now, it’s easy to forget, but there was a time when Carlos Martínez looked like a future ace for St. Louis. After working mostly out of the bullpen in his first two seasons, Martínez appeared in 31 games, 29 of them starts, in 2015, and he showed just how much potential he had. He went 14–7 with a 3.01 ERA and made the All-Star team, just like fellow young gun Michael Wacha. This was the start of a nice run for Martínez, but he eventually flamed out and pitched his last MLB game in 2021 at the age of 29.
