@AlfieHouseEcho If we do manage to go up, we are in a better position than last time as we don't have £80m of first XI players leaving (Brooks, Che, Downs and THB) So any spend will improve the team rather than replace existing players. Just hope we'd go for quality over quantity

@Bradders_87 I fully agree. I’m a Saints fan and if we finish 7th or lower we totally don’t deserve to go up. Just makes the league less meaningful. Also. The teams finishing 3rd and 4th have a long time to wait to play their game, and the final is even closer to the start of the next season!

This season is the perfect example of why the new playoff format stinks. Southampton have a real possibility of missing out on the playoffs yet in the new format make it. They would then be favourites to beat Hull or Wrexham undoing a seasons hard work. #Playoffs #EFL

@L1minus10 First viewing was what on earth is this. However starting Stewart midweek always meant it would be a risk to start again here. His benching I think has caused Fellows benching so they can be on pitch at same time. Bree choice I guess is physicality in a derby, not against that.

Three changes for Saints with Bree, Matsuki and Armstrong in for Jelert, Fellows and Stewart. I understand Bree, brings a bit of physicality. But can't understand Fellows being dropped, and if Stewart could only start one game he should have started today. Not ideal. #SaintsFC
