Before #March19 and #March20, the earliest in the year it had been 105° @PHXSkyHarbor was April 20 ! #Phoenix beat that by more than a month during the current, historic #heatwave that will see a fourth consecutive day of triple-digit heat today. @hbwx @JoeMurgo @TenaciousTopper

Good stuff here. I actually did pretty well with my forecast for the winter here. I predicted well below average temps for Jan and February bu did go about average for Dec and it was well below! As for snow I went 13-20”, so I almost made my low end, but not quite.

Now that we've declared winter over, let's look back it! Some cool stats: * Coldest Dec-Feb since 2002-03; first time Dec, Jan, and Feb were all colder than normal since 2009-2010. * If no more snow falls, the total in DC of 10.6" would be 3.1" below normal. But snow was on the ground longer than normal because of combo of Snowcrete and cold. * Midwest Regional Climate Center rated it a "severe" winter on its scale, level 4 out of 5, mainly because of the cold and long-lasting snow cover.

Phoenix history is about to be made. A high of 101° today would be the earliest 100-degree day ever recorded and the hottest temperature ever recorded in March. Then 105° Thursday. 106° Friday. Heat we don't see until late May. Extreme Heat Warnings in effect Thu-Sun🌡️
