@paulkrugman Since most of the folks this post is aimed at can’t do math, I’ll spell it out for you: Jason Aldean’s hometown of Macon, GA had 9 times the murder rate (murders per capita) last year that New York City did.

By now many people have noticed that Jason “try that in a small town” Aldean grew up in a city with 150k people. What you may not know: last year Macon had 70 homicides. NYC, with 8.4 million people, had 438.
