Ran up a $1500 dinner tab and when the receipt came back they had those cute little “suggested tips” printed like I’m supposed to casually drop another $300 just because someone carried plates from kitchen to table. I left $25 which honestly felt generous considering I already paid restaurant-level prices for the food itself. Server immediately got weird about it, attitude switched, barely a thank you, just that tight smile people do when they think you violated some unspoken rule. I told her straight up tipping isn’t a percentage subscription service and I’m not funding someone’s rent just because the bill happened to be high. Manager wandered over trying to smooth it out, hinting about “industry standards” like that magically obligates me. That only made me dig in harder because nowhere else do you get charged more for the exact same task just because the total went up. So I signed it exactly how it was, stood up, and walked out while they all stared like I committed financial treason, and if they think I’m coming back there to play along with that system again they’re seriously confused. @Rajatsoni I’m all for bitcoin but scarcity and a limited supply doesn’t equal value, USD is only worth something because people give it value.. just because there’s 21 million. Bitcoin doesn’t mean it is worth anything only if people give it value so we’re banking on that fact alone.

There will always be a maximum of 21,000,000 BTC. 1 USD ≠ 1 USD because $1 will not be the same percentage of the US Dollar network as it is today, even as little as 1 month from now. There is no limit to how much USD can be created. If you say Bitcoin is a scam but you don't understand this, you haven't done enough research.

Seems like we are getting to the point where it is obvious that the markets are rigged. I have followed the markets for years and invested in stocks, gold, silver and even dabbed in crypto. I feel like I'm just hitting a hard limit right now. I'm starting to just not care what my 401k balance says, or what spot is for my metal. It all just seems meaningless. I already have a decent car and a functioning paid for house. What else am I going to do with more wealth? Spoil my kids when they are adults, no thanks. IV seen how that ends. Buy more shiny stuff to try and impress strangers. No thanks. At what point is all of this just meaningless numbers? It's fun sometimes I guess but what is it all really for? We just die in the end anyway, and from what I have seen when a rich person is about to die the ones that love them are excited for the inheritance rather than sad to see them go. Maybe it's time as a species to rise above all the numbers, noise, and obsession with power and image and start paying more attention to the things that will matter. Nobody on their deathbed wished they had spent more time obsessing over markets rather than spending time with their kids or loved ones.

Bitcoin is less than $1000 away from hitting the 2021 cycle top. If BTC price hits $69,000 before the end of the week, that would mean price took 4 months to hit the prior cycle top after the ATH. As a reference, 2022 took ~8 months to hit the 2017 cycle top. And the 2018 bear market never hit the prior cycle’s top from 2013. We could be witnessing one giant slow down in Bitcoin investing over the next few years compared to the last 16 years and potentially a left-translated cycle with no new ATH. In essence, it would look like a multi year bear market from the traditional “4-year cycle” point of view which expects a new ATH every ~4 years.
