Monty just took his last breath. I was right here with him. He was cuddled in his blankie holding his favorite toy. I held his paw and gave him pets and talked to him as he left me. I can honestly say I have never loved (or been loved by) another living being more. I am so lost.

Beautiful day today. The vultures were out in force and flying low for some good looks. Saw the immature eagle on the nest again.
