If this doesn’t cement the reality that in today’s current environment the difference between D2 and D1 is razor thin I don’t know what does. This is essentially a D2 coach and his D2 roster that got called up and are now in the elite 8. #iowahawkeys

Winning matters and winners know how to win. The D1 coaches need to value winners and toughness more than “stars”. I have rarely witnessed it going bad when winners enter a program. Ever.

The IOWA Hawkeyes are moving on to the ELITE 8 with a 77-71 win over NEBRASKA, their 1st trip since 1987!
WEATHERFORD #OKPreps TATE SAGE played 29 minutes, dropped 19 points, pulled down 8 boards, had 3 assists and was 4 of 7 from beyond the arc!

Minimal evaluation is more likely. He didn’t play for a shoe team so he didn’t have a narrative built around him. Just hard work and playing hard and keeping his head down while sticking with those who believed in him. #loyalty
