@TomAllnutt_ Your point absolutely stands - but I think that graphic shows the 18 easiest draws out of 36 teams in total? In other words their draw was mid-ranking difficulty? Irrespective, for a team with such limited resource to deliver their results is unbelievable.

Bodo/Glimt had the toughest group games of any team in the UCL this season. Atletico, City, Dortmund, Juve, Monaco, Galatasaray, Spurs, Slavia Prague. And then Inter in the playoffs. With a £50m squad. Incredible run to the last 16.

I mean I hope Romero’s not injured. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slighted if he ripped into someone at half time though.

@georgeachillea Every time I've seen Garcia he moves the ball beautifully. He's exactly the kind of unflustered tempo-setter we need. Plus we have good record buying from Leverkusen...

If I’m Spurs I’m going all in on Aleix Garcia to pair alongside Gallagher and/or Palhinha etc Personally think he’s one of the best DLP in Europe that is actually attainable and fits the more “experienced” profile the club is after I definitely think the defensive side of his game can be questioned but that’s exactly why you’d pair him alongside a Palhinha because they’re basically polar opposites… the Defoe x Crouch of the midfield 😂

Trump will never win his libel case versus the BBC in Florida. As in a 2021 civil suit he brought against Orbis there, the judge will rule out US jurisdiction. In our case, most unusually, we were also awarded costs. We later beat Trump on appeal. The BBC can defeat him likewise.

Netflix is about to buy Friends, Batman & Superman, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, The Sopranos and Bugs Bunny. It already owns Roald Dahl. Old Hollywood's IP advantage over the world's biggest streamer is going to be wiped out in a single deal.

British TV is a massive state of flux. Neither Channel 4 nor Channel 5 have permanent leaders; Sky may or may not end up buying ITV; and a recruitment process for the next DG will now kick off with the clock ticking on charter renewal/ licence fee debate.

@hipaulgorton Should probably have worded tweet slightly differently. I've no doubt The Traitors will run and run very successfully. Rather, viewers will quickly have their fill of formats heavy on lies, deceit, psychological gameplay. There's already plenty and there's loads more coming...

@ChrisMCurtis I doubt viewers will move on, more likely to stay faithful to the source material rather than stray for a competitive. Only joy they could find is airing bang in the middle of civilian and celeb traitors so that audience can quench their thirst. Also, it’s all in the presenter

Bumped into a very experienced entertainment exec at Mipcom who told me: "I can't remember a market where one format has cast such a long shadow". His prediction? By the time all the Traitors-lite shows get to air, viewers will have moved on.

Banijay have gained the rights to reality show ‘Werewolves’ for adaption in the UK, US and more. Based on the board game, a group of strangers - the Villagers - compete to win a prize, while catching the Werewolves who are secretly killing off players one by one to steal it all.

The last time a format had such an impact on many programmes that followed it must be Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. I think the Traitoresque programmes will be the ones viewers move on from. They'll see them as Traitors clones and not as good.

BBC News reporting that Lisa Nandy will stay as culture secretary "despite months of briefing against her". She's giving a speech to RTS Cambridge in less than fortnight and has work to do in terms of getting the wider TV sector on side. What will she say and how will it land?

João Palhinha to Spurs is an interesting one. The midfield is already titled to oop ball winners and could use more progressive efficiency. Is the best way to rectify that balance by bringing in a progressor, or a super outlier dueling menace that allows the other midfielders freedom in possession? Thomas Frank seems to be betting on the latter. 📊 Total Progressive Distance per Turnover vs. Tackles and Dribble Challenges Won + Interceptions p90

🚨⚪️ João Palhinha to Tottenham, here we go! Final green light arrived right now from Bayern. Exclusive detail: loan deal includes €30m buy option clause for #THFC, not mandatory. Salary covered by Spurs, Bayern said yes and Palhinha will now travel for medical tests.
