On Wednesday night, around 6:30pm, a couple felt they were above the rules of society and walked out of a business without paying for items. As employees told them to stop and leave the merchandise, both suspects shoved the workers (elevating this to a robbery). The two then ran to their car and were last seen speeding toward the 210… thinking they were Scot-free. We don’t tolerate theft in Upland, and surely don’t take robbery lightly. Officers not only converged on the area, but responded to the 210 and Mountain Avenue to monitor westbound traffic as others headed east on the freeway. Our partners in the sky 🚁 from @OntarioPD also heard the call and started heading north. Shortly after, an eastbound officer located the vehicle, trailed it as back-up was coming, then stopped it at the 210 and Cherry Ave. Both suspects were arrested for robbery, conspiracy and their ride towed.
