I am a Baptist and I think that his post is absolutely deplorable, but let me defend him a little bit here. He doesnt think that statue actually represents Mary, he thinks the Catholic view of Mary is a pagan idol instead. So he isnt purposefully disrespecting Mary here. The problem with the post is that its meant to look like blasphemy to Catholics and Orthodox, which is not Christ-like behavior
