@Top100Rick Yeah private courses, there’s a different expectation at a public course. If you want to golf fast at a public course you play early. You’re that guy that shows up at noon on a Saturday and expects to get through in 4 hours

@ChrisOlson89 It can be done. Private courses do it. Not 3.5, but 4 hours walking. So 3.5 in separate carts would be easy. The hope is only fast players would play, so the rangers wouldn’t need to harass.

With all the anger brewing over slow play at the golf course, why haven’t ANY public courses capitalized on this? A guaranteed FAST PLAY golf course seems like a huge opportunity. Imagine a course that mandates a 3.5 hour round. When you book a tee time, you get warnings that you will play fast or be forced to skip a hole with no refund. Period. Argue about it? Banned for life. A Marshall is waiting on hole 3 to make sure you are on pace. A roaming Marshall is employed to keep an eye on things using GPS on carts as a guide. I’m a walker, but I’m fine with individual carts like I saw at Woodhall Spa for this experiment. This is for the people who need to get done and get home or to work. Speed is everything!
