@JudithFreedman I can see some real benefits in having a tax system that can take into account the real life situations of taxpayers. Indeed, having this information would have allowed far more precise interventions in COVID. It seems right to investigate and evaluate the options.

The 6 month targeted #VAT cut may bring a smile to the face of restauranteurs but won’t apply to any alcoholic tipple accompanying the food. Combined with the £10 #eatouttohelpout 1/2 price offer per diner per meal, this Chancellor has been putting his money where his mouth is

What we saw today doesn't look to be enough to dampen the effect of Furlough Cold Turkey come Halloween. Many businesses will be hoping for more in the Chancellor's Autumn Budget and that he won't wait till Christmas Eve to reveal the goodies he has in mind #SummerStatement
