UPDATE: According to Carlos Mendoza, Luis Robert Jr.'s back issues have not improved much overnight. He's scheduled to receive an MRI today. A trip to the injured list is a real possibility.

Still think Morabito and Clifford get calls first, but this puts Ewing in play as well for the big-league roster.
He's CRUSHED Double-A pitching. If he does the same in Triple A, the #Mets will come calling.

The Mets have promoted A.J. Ewing to Triple-A Syracuse. Ewing, the team's No. 3-ranked prospect, demolished Double-A pitching with a .349/.481/.571 slash line, two home runs, six doubles, a triple and 12 steals in 18 games. Last year, Ewing ranked fourth in MiLB with 70 steals.

I think Morabito is probably the most likely call up, when they decide to go down that route.

This #Mets offense is just flat out broken and with Lindor/Polanco not close, it might be time to pull the ripcord on guys like Clifford/Morabito/Ewing.

The win last night was great, and hopefully the #Mets start a winning streak tonight. But, these are just some decisions in the last THREE games that are confusing:
Sun- Not walking Hoerner
Tues- Keeping McLean in too long
Last night- Letting Pham and Taylor hit against Orze

This isn’t unique to Nolan McLean, but it is notable. In the first five innings of games this season, opponents are 6-for-80 (.075) against McLean. In innings six and beyond, they are 9-for-25 (.360).

Again, offense needs to score more than 1. But this feels like a mistake.

Carlos Mendoza says the Mets did not consider intentionally walking Nico Hoerner in the 10th inning: "In that situation, especially with Hoerner, you put him at first base, they're going to take second base there. You know there's a contact situation there but then they got some of their best hitters coming up after that, too. No, I was just going right after him."

Add to this 23rd in Barrel % and 7th in Topped % and the numbers totally match the eye test right now.
Balls aren't hit hard, and they are just being topped into the ground for easy putouts.
