This week, I’m joined by Middlebury College forward Meg Simon. We talk about growing up around the game, how community inspires her every day, and how she’s always striving to be more than just a hockey player. Episode 122 is available now: rinksiderundown.ca/p/meg-simon-on…

I mentioned this prior, but with the Walter Cup Finals all but upon us, I wanted to scrap my entire game day graphics that I share with all of you. I have now, after many painful hours, officially finished them, as well as my three stars. I can’t wait to share them tomorrow.

At Queen’s Park, I was proud to recognize the Ottawa Charge as they head to the PWHL playoff finals. There is so much excitement in Kanata-Carleton and across Ottawa for this incredible team. We are so proud of everything you have achieved. Go Ottawa Charge!

The Walter Cup Finals is set and will see an all-Canadian matchup for the first time in league history, as the Montreal Victoire take on the Ottawa Charge. For the Charge, it marks their second consecutive trip to the Finals and their singular focus: winning the Walter Cup.

As it stands right now, this game is very much the same as Ottawa's semifinal matchup against Boston: The team with the fewer shots on goal (yes, also by double digits) has the lead.

Who else but Captain Clutch gives Montreal the lead on the power play in the third period. Poulin picks the far corner for an absolutely fantastic goal. Erin Ambrose and Nicole Gosling get the assists. 2-1 Montreal with 16:33 left in the third period.

End of the second period from Montreal and things remain tied up at 1-1 between the Frost and Victoire. Goals in the game: Catherine Dubois and Sam Cogan. Shots are 18-11 Minnesota. Can I get some third period predictions?
