@accelball @TheTotalmcsucks @CoalRegionPools @Ben_Jones88 You're right the average pass play isn't 5 yards, it's actually 7 yards. The median is 4 yards, but yeah the 45% incompletion chance makes it less attractive.
However in a 4th and 5 situation an incomplete is just as good as running it 4.5 yards so you might as well pass

@kirkdonkadonk @Ben_Jones88 Their offensive linemen were letting guys through as the game drug on, I don't know if I'd risk an option that needed a lot of time and decision making. I'd imagine they wouldn't get distracted by the handoff and would just try to kill the QB.

@CoalRegionPools @Ben_Jones88 Running on 4th and 5 is just not it. There's just so much of an opportunity for your runner to get grabbed or tripped and slowed before 5 years which allows defenders to stand him up more easily. 4th and 3? Sure.
