LIV Golfers returning to the PGA

Alex Fitzpatrick has officially accepted PGA Tour membership after earning an exemption through 2028 by winning the Zurich Championship last week with his brother Matt. He plays his first signature event this week at the Cadillac Championship, and ahead of the first round, he spoke about how his last few days have been: “Yeah, it's been pretty wild. I had a flight to Turkey booked on Sunday night, so I was pretty thankful that I could cancel that one and fly to Miami. So, yeah, a lot has changed. Super happy to be here and, yeah, something I didn't expect starting last week.” He then spoke about his expectations this week: “I think the biggest thing for me is just to try and he enjoy it. I think this is, yeah, this is the first day of school, I guess you could call it, but, yeah, it's just to go out and enjoy myself, try and play the golf I feel like I can play, and see where that takes me this week.” Then he went on to speak about the support he’s received from DP World Tour members: “Yeah, the support has been amazing. I've had more messages than I ever thought I would. They must think I'm a nice guy or something, because there's a lot more than I thought I would ever get. But, yeah, there's a bunch of players, even kind of on the range here I've had so many players and people come up to me and congratulate me for not only last week but the week in India as well. So it's, yeah, it's been pretty surreal to kind of keep getting all these messages and, yeah, amazing.” Alex won the Hero Indian Open just a few weeks ago and currently sits 7th on the Race to Dubai. He thoroughly deserves his spot on the PGA Tour and I’m looking forward to seeing how he gets on as he makes the step up to Signature Events. @PGATOUR @cadillac_champ

NEW: Oklahoma high school principal seen charging at and disarming a school shooter in footage obtained by @SHumphreyTV. Pauls Valley High School Principal Kirk Moore is being called a hero after getting shot while stopping a school shooter. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Victor Hawkins, was a former student who said he wanted to shoot up the school “like the Columbine shooters did.” While taking down the shooter, Moore was shot in the leg. He is expected to recover and says he is looking forward to returning to work as soon as possible. "I look forward to returning to work as soon as possible so that I may continue my life’s work educating the next generation of Oklahoma leaders. Until then, my thoughts are with our outstanding students, safe today in the arms of their families and friends," he said. Hero!
