@benunsworth @LocalGovDrupal We're on a similar journey, had various false starts, but the soon to be unsupported EasySite CMS forced our hand. Although not a full redesign as such, its incredible what a team can achieve when on a tight deadline

We're in the final phases of our corporate website migration as we prepare for the big EasySite (RIP EasySite) switch off at the end of the month. We've taken the opportunity to give the whole website a facelift

@benunsworth It's frustrating and show's how our politicians have no real handle on economics. I feel stupid for thinking BOE interest rate of 0.X% was the norm. I feel angry that it appears our economic leaders thought the same

@nikitabier It’s chicken and the egg isn’t it. The further you go without a design system the more pain it is trying to implement one later. But more the more time spend on a design system the longer it takes to get some ideas out and actually tested

Does anyone keep looking at the technology they're using (websites, UI's, google, login/register etc) and just feel like its dated tech that's had its time? Its like chat-gpt has opened my eyes and shown me how half of this stuff won't exist in our AI powered future.

@JoannaGoodwin3 Thanks @JoannaGoodwin3 its a personal mission now. The oil tanker is slowly turning I'm just not sure everyone's aware of the reality yet... this is long haul and its also not going to deliver savings, it enables them. I feel another blog post coming along

Keep going @Chris_Burkill. Local government does amazing work every day and it is non stop! Progress over perfection. The small incremental changes over time will truely add up. A project mindset won't work but steady and consistent change over time will be huge. Keep going!
