@chrisholme1983 Waste of time and energy. More clubs going bust now than before the forensic assessments. Energy that could have been spent on outward marketing and revenue generating.

4 of the 10 directly outside the superleague spots are now in serious financial trouble. Would love to know if their impending troubles should have been picked up on during this grading process which was completed less than four months ago

There would be no-one for that club to play.

@ijhawk65 @MarkWilsonRadio @jdgsport Clearly not sustainable...there isn't the money in the sport at that level to do it. Simply won't be enough income generated through the turnstiles, sponsorship and merch sales etc

@MarkWilsonRadio @jdgsport Plus match payments, did hear a story of a player last season on more than the figure you quote and he spent a good portion of the season in the stand.

More terribly sad news. It needs a reset. Unfortunately, at part-time level, some of the player wages have grown to unsustainable levels and the income hasn't grown to match. Once one club starts throwing money around, wages grow and teams try to compete then...

@Fev_Talk Clubs are businesses it is not the RFLs responsibility to operate them sustainably...that responsibility lies with the owners.

It’s getting more and more obvious by the day that the RFL do not give a fuck in the world about teams outside of the Super League. First Salford, then Featherstone, now Halifax. ALL IN THE SPACE OF A YEAR. This sport is run by corrupt bastards and needs a total refresh!

Found an old photo of me kicking a conversion for Salem Hornets on Breezehill school pitch. That was around 1993/4 roughly 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️good times 👍
