@sage_stage Kid was supposed to be in my class-was sitting in the art room apparently with teacher’s knowledge, cause he had a buddy there-missed first 2 weeks of my class-she didn’t call anyone or check where he was really supposed to be🤦🏻‍♀️

Kids missing from class. I messaged Mom, Mom messages the kid to get to class. Kid texts back a picture of herself in class. I point out that the poster on the wall says "Welcome to English 9". I am not the English teacher

I’m interested. Can you name a short story you’ve loved ever since studying it in your first or second year of high school?

@sage_stage So if it's ADHD, I actually set up 3 desks that I let a student move between during class as long as he wasn't disruptive to the other students (loud, crazy, throwing things). This kid totally changed and became one of my best students.

Anyone have a good strategy for working with a kid who thinks you are always singling him out for behavior issues? Especially if you are speaking to multiple kids and not just him, but also if he might actually be the most disruptive student in the class.
