@plan__b2 High school...went to dinner then to see "Three Amigos." When they shot the Invisible Swordsman I laughed until I couldn't breathe. She leans over and says, "I'm getting more popcorn." She never came back ... she had called her older sister to come get her.

Greg Abbott claims his private school voucher scam will help working families. But when I questioned the bill author, he admitted that it would give $1.2 million in taxpayer funds to Elon Musk. Vouchers are welfare for the wealthy.

Unfortunatelly all witnesses ate halloween candy with razorblades in it and are no longer with us. I havent been this upset since the news that Zack Morris passed away or since I found out Marilyn Manson was Paul from the Wonder Years.

And barely beating Dallas last year, and calling for the missed field goal against SF in the playoffs. He sucks. We need a coach who wont do that.

As a new assistant principal, mastering communication is crucial for your success. Here are 5 strategies to become a more effective communicator: 1. Active Listening: Focus on understanding, not just hearing. Use non-verbal cues, paraphrase, and ask clarifying questions. 2. Tailor Your Message: Adapt your style for different audiences: ▪️Teachers: Be clear about expectations and offer constructive feedback ▪️Students: Use age-appropriate language, be approachable yet authoritative ▪️Parents: Show empathy, provide specific information, offer solutions ▪️Administrators: Be concise, data-driven, and solution-oriented 3. Master Non-Verbal Communication: Maintain open posture, make appropriate eye contact, and use gestures to emphasize points. Ensure your facial expressions match your message. 4. Be Clear and Concise: Get to the point quickly, avoid jargon, and use simple language with concrete examples. Break down complex ideas into clear, actionable steps. 5. Leverage Multiple Channels: Use the right platform for each message. Email for formal communications, face-to-face for sensitive topics, or social media for quick community updates. Implementing these strategies will enhance your leadership and foster a more collaborative school environment. Want more in-depth tips? As a new assistant principal, building trust with your teachers is essential for creating a positive school culture and achieving your goals. Here are five concrete steps you can take: 𝟭. 𝗕𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲: Spend time in classrooms and teacher lounges, not just your office. Show your teachers that you're invested in understanding their daily realities. 𝟮. 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆: When teachers come to you with concerns, give them your full attention. Ask questions, paraphrase their thoughts, and show empathy before jumping into problem-solving mode. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆: Share your vision, goals, and decision-making processes openly with your staff. Invite their input and feedback regularly. 𝟰. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵: If you make a promise or commitment, do everything in your power to keep it. Consistency is key for building trust. 𝟱. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀: Recognize and celebrate your teachers' wins, both big and small. Publicly acknowledge their hard work and dedication. Implementing these strategies consistently can make a world of difference in building strong, trusting relationships with your staff. Ft lane violation? Ive watched alot of NBA basketball. Ive seen hundreds of missed fts where there has been lane violations not called. Ive joked about it being a suggestion not a rule. Until Boston misses one.
