When you love without expecting anything in return, your love is not limited by how much other people love you. This is how God loves us.

A bit of advice to young Christians: never sell out. Become more who you are and you will find your place in the Church and society.

Looking back on my suffering I've realized that it is not so much I who have suffered as it is Christ who has suffered in me. There's no room for bitterness, just for the Lord's sweet and constant presence.

@ephilution I heard a story of a woman who lost her husband and she fell down on the ground in front of a statue of Mary and started throwing chunks of earth at it. Nearby, a man standing with a nun moved to stop her, but instead the nun stopped him and said, "Let her be, she's praying."

@Christian8Pics Yeah I try to do that, but love should not degenerate into (saccharine) worship -- that's idolatry. Especially when I am in pain, as I have been for 2.5 decades straight, I do sometimes lash out even to God, for he put me here on Earth & is making me live the lives I am living.
