This was a nothing game in the first 25 minutes. They actually went down to Ifill on the sideline early on and supposedly Corica wasn’t happy.

Perhaps this is more about Heidelberg being an especially great NPL team. But we can probably say that after beating WSW and Nix convincingly, they'd probably also beat Perth, CCM, maybe one other. Isn't there a conversation to be had about the quality of some of these ALM sides?

If there are concerns about Merrick's plan, I'm curious to know what they are. I like many aspects. I do wonder why there is nothing outlining strategies/plans for ensuring information learned at coach education programs are actually properly implemented in club environments.

If Merrick's execution was the issue, not the plan itself, why pursue something totally different? Surely starting again only increases the Football Development Committee's concern over the constant changing of technical direction?

What do you enjoy more, the camera threatening to pan away from the penalty or the commentary calling the goal a full business day before it was scored? Football Australia's AI cameras initiative is clearly not ready to go. Let's stop making our game pay for the "savings."
