X-men/Fantastic Four #1-2. 📝 Zdarsky. 🎨 Dodson. The X-Men approach Franklin Richards about joining them on Krakoa. Sue Storm doesn’t take politely to their advances and things devolve from there. I haven’t read many FF comics, but it was fun seeing them interact with the X-Men.

Avengers (1998) #47. 📝 Busiek. 🎨 Garcia & Layton. CW: sexual assault. This is a weird issue. Kang’s son, Marcus, is helping Kang conquer the world. Marcus is obsessed with Warbird, who had previously been assaulted by an alternate Marcus. Marcus rescues an unsure Warbird.

Avengers (1998) #46. 📝 Busiek. 🎨 Garcia & Layton. Giant walls surround N. America and The Master of the World is responsible. The Master’s tech is powerful enough to stop Kang, but he’s happy to let everyone outside N.A. die. The Avengers head to his base to get his tech.

People like to crap on Thor: The Dark world, but it did give us the Marvel Studios fanfare.

Avengers (1998) #44-45. 📝 Busiek. 🎨 Garcia & Layton. Kang has stirred up villainous groups all over the planet, but the Avengers push them back. They regroup to devise a plan to defeat Kang. They have to think fast, though, because the US government is set on using Sentinels.

Spoilers for a 20-year-old comic. But, get him, Carol.

Avengers Annual (2001) #1. 📝 Busiek. 🎨 Reis. It’s Yellowjacket vs Goliath vs Henry Pym. Hank’s mind is fractured and different parts of his personality fight for supremacy. Good bits with Hank and Janet. We learn more about Triathlon, an Avenger that I don’t think sticks around
